Universal Optical Inspection Probe (Light Probe) S2 Spectra Sensor

Universal Optical Inspection Probe (Light Probe) S2 Spectra Sensor

Light probes and sensors must be purchased as a set. (It cannot be used alone.) )

Feature

You can distinguish the light intensity of the LED and all visible light and white. Not only can adjacent visual colors, such as green and yellow, be clearly and repeatedly identified, but even slightly different hues can be distinguished regardless of light intensity. Since it is possible to set its own PASS/FAIL standard, it is an ideal product for determining the boundary color LED.

・Not limited to only the five main colors, all visible light and white can be inspected.

・Color coding and light intensity can be measured at the same time.

・ Accurate measurement is possible not only for standard colors but also for subtle shades such as yellow-green.

・Flexibility to set your own PASS/FAIL criteria.

・Analog voltage output.

Color discrimination

The hue of all + white LEDs belonging to the visible band of 400 ~ 700 nm is expressed by a voltage output proportional to the wavelength of the LED. The output value does not depend on the light intensity of the LED.

White is always output at 3.5V. There is flexibility to set the PASS/FAIL standard by the user himself/herself.

Light intensity

・0~4V analog output

・ Millicandela (MCD) support

・A wide range of light intensity of 1~20000 mcd can be tested without adjustment

Annotation:

・Low sensitivity/ultra-low sensitivity models are available for extremely bright LEDs, and high-sensitivity models are available for extremely dark LEDs.

・When the numerical value shows <50mV: The LED is too dark. Please use a high-sensitivity sensor.

・When the numerical value shows > 4V: The LED is too bright. Please use a low-sensitivity sensor.

• Response to light intensity depends on the size of the LED, the diameter size of the light probe, and the distance between the probe tip and the LED.

Supply voltage protection

The Universal Light Inspection Probe (Light Probe) S2 sensor can operate at voltages from 5V to 40V and can also handle reverse voltages up to -18V. In addition to protecting against accidents caused by power supply misconnection, against reverse polarity voltages up to 18 V due to transient inrush voltage when switching DC voltage power supplies, and against inadvertent testing machine polarity errors, it is also possible to support different DC supply voltages of 5~28 V commonly used in general fields (*4.75V or less is not recommended).

Mechanical Specification

Operating Temperature 0℃~70℃
Applied voltage +5~28V DC *4.75V or less is not recommended.
Current applied MAX 6mA
Voltage protection Overvoltage 40V, reverse characteristic voltage -18V
Response Time <100mS (simultaneous measurement of color and light intensity)

Example) If you connect one probe to each of the three sensors and test three LEDs, you can test all three sensors at the same time, so the total response time is up to about 100 mS.

However, when one probe (trident) is connected to one sensor to test three LEDs, the response time is 100×3 = maximum about 300 mS because each sensor is tested in order.
